Life has its challenges, forks in the road, minors dilemmas, and big decisions. And when we feel stuck and don’t know what to do next we seek advice from friends and family, social media even. It’s what we do.
We’ll get on the phone and call our girlfriend. We ask her opinion. Everything from which outfit is cuter to relationship stuff. We read magazines, buy books, and of course the ultimate source of advice; Google.
We takes tests and scans and quizzes all in the search for the answers… The key to health, to happiness, to weight loss, to the good life.
But you won’t find any of those answers out there.
You can push a door that says ‘pull to enter’ as hard as you can but it will never open until you pull.
No person, no matter how close to you, can solve your problems for you. It’s up to you to ask yourself what you need and how you’re going to get it.
Take time to quiet your mind and to get clear.
Learn to trust your intuition.
The answers come to those who ask, are brave enough to receive, and bold enough to act upon those knowings.

P.S. It is not lost on me that this blog post which is telling you to stop seeking advice, is in fact giving you advice. Ha! So is life, the ultimate paradox. Don’t trust what I say, instead question everything, test it out. Keep what works and toss the rest.
