Homemade Sugar Scrub for Silky Skin

We live in the midwest and the winters here are brutal!  My skin tends to get so dry during the cold months especially my legs.

So I like treat myself to an in-home spa day about once a week.  This homemade body scrub is amazing!

The best part is that it contains no yucky chemicals, will only cost about 50 cents a jar, and takes less than 5 minutes to make.

The Recipe


1 cup organic cane sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
2 Tablespoons raw honey
5 drops Grapefruit essential oil
5 drops Orange essential oil
5 drops Lemon essential oil
5 drops Tangerine essential oil
*As an alternative you could use 15-20 drops of Citrus Fresh essential oil
1 drop Cinnamon Bark or Clove essential oil to maintain freshness
Glass jars (where to buy)

Step 1:
Mix all ingredients in a medium sized glass bowl.

Step 2:
Spoon mixture into small jars.  Keep one jar in your shower and any extra jars in the refrigerator for later.
Step 3:
Enjoy your newly made scrub!
